Equestrian enthusiasts love the Mesa area. Here at red mountain stables we have many different breeds, disciplines and options for boarding, training and breeding. We have a fun and family atmosphere that everyone enjoys being a part of. While there are many horse lovers in town, they are only a handful of quality stables to choose from. Debbie and Dick Anderson, owners of Red Mountain Stable, were 'snow bird' horse lovers that traveled yearly from Colorado to Arizona until four years ago. At that time, they purchased a farm on Adobe and 80th in Mesa. The sign on their huge, hand crafted metal gate reads: Red Mountain Stables and Reproductive Facilities.

"We not only had seven horses in tow for the winters in Arizona", Debbie began, "but we also traveled with the chickens, peacocks and other animals as well..." Debbie and her husband transformed a stable that was in much need of some tender care, into a premier, full care stable and reproductive facility.

"I have built and repaired all the barns, stables and rings, myself", says Dick Anderson. "The barns and stables are covered to protect the horses (and humans) from the intense summer Arizona sun. We have also installed FRESH AUTOMATIC WATER systems, FLY REPELLANT systems, and state-of-the-art COOLING SYSTEMS running throughout the stalls (Ya gotta feel it to believe it!!!). We have also just completed our brand new COVERED, LIGHTED AND MISTED ARENA!

We have about 10 acres of which 6 are completed. Construction on another barn and nursery are in the works."

Red Mountain Stables is also home to The Star Pony Club. Their activities are primarily based in English riding. Members range in age from 6 to age 25. Members may actively compete at club, regional, and national rallies. Most USPC competition is team competition, where members learn the importance of cooperation and teamwork. Members learn to ride and care for their horses with appropriate techniques and safety. They learn responsibility while having fun in a safe and secure environment. Our facility is fully gated and monitored by SECURITY CAMERAS.
